This extensive lot from Billy Wilder's multiple Oscar-winning comedy-drama starring Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine, and Fred MacMurray includes three reviews files, an awards file, Daily Variety, March 16, 1960, and March 27, 1961 (includes the full-page disclaimer by John Wayne, referring to his Alamo co-star, Chill Wills', infamous self-promotion regarding his Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination), with Wilder's address labels attached, a 1960 British Academy Awards program, 33rd Academy Awards nominations brochure, still photograph file, production file, Feature Story Manual, 49 pages, including synopsis, cast and credits, production story, actor biographies, green paper covers with one staple, and a file of typed signed and autograph letters and telegrams to Wilder from admirers of the film (Francis Lederer, James Cagney, Naomi Stevens, Martin Gabel, William Daniels, ASC, William Inge) and copies of replies (including one to Alfred Hitchcock) from his secretary, Rosella Stewart.
