    Description

Billy Wilder's A New Kind of Love/Another Love Story Early Drafts Archive plus Photos and Yul Brynner Signed Correspondence. Set of assorted documents includes story treatments, typed and handwritten script pages, and correspondence regarding the unproduced 1953 romance -- including a typed letter dated October 29, 1952 on personal stationery and signed by Yul Brynner. Wilder had intended for Brynner to star opposite Katharine Hepburn in the movie, but it was never filmed, most likely due to Brynner's binding contract with Rodgers and Hammerstein for the Broadway production of The King and I. The items date from late 1952 through January 1953, and are in Fine to Very Fine condition with some wear, brittleness from age, and smoke/fire damage. Accompanied by 42 b&w headshots and behind-the-scenes photos of Wilder, ranging in size from 3" x 4" to 8" x 10" and in Very Fine condition. Accompanied by James Spence Authentication auction LOA.
