An Orson Welles Script from "Othello," Circa 1952. In a rust-colored binder, script by Orson Welles, undated, 127 pages, very minor annotations in black fountain pen ink on a few pages; evidently Welles' initial script before it was sent to the studios for consideration; also included is a 'Cutting Continuity' script and a 'Dialogue Continuity' script for this film, both dated "June, 1953;" included with a letter from Beatrice Welles indicating she consigned this lot directly to Heritage Auctions. (Please note all the pages are now just placed within the binder and are not bound in.)
    11" x 9"

Welles made this film that he adapted, directed, starred in, and produced in 1952 and it won the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival that year, though it was not seen in the United States until United Artists released it in 1955. Additionally, the film was fully restored and had a worldwide re-release in 1992 to much critical acclaim.
