DescriptionAn Orson Welles Group of Telegrams, 1958.
Eleven total, all sent to Welles via "Italcable" when he was staying in Rome, from various associates, mostly discussing work-related issues as well as colleagues such as Anna Magnani, Frank Sinatra, Stanley Kramer, Laurence Olivier, and Darryl F. Zanuck, etc.; also included is one British telegram sent while Welles was in London and one 'Shore to Ship' telegram when Welles was aboard the S.S. Exochorda -- overall, a small window into Welles hectic and busy life; included with a letter from Beatrice Welles indicating she consigned this lot directly to Heritage Auctions.
