An Orson Welles Australian Scrapbook from "Citizen Kane," 1940-1941. Compiled for Welles himself by a professional clipping service, housed in a red paper binder with a title handwritten in blue pencil reading "Citizen Kane / Press Book / from / Publicity Dept / Australia," dating from 1940 to about September 1941, filled with 35 pages of newspaper and magazine clippings from (mostly) Australian publications all related to Welles' then-infamous film, most of which were never published in the United States -- overall, a great find for the "CK" aficionado; included with a letter from Beatrice Welles indicating she consigned this lot directly to Heritage Auctions. (Please note the covers are now tattered due to age and the inside pages are quite wrinkled and fragile, but all the clippings are still clear and legible.)
