An Orson Welles Address Book, Circa 1940s. Cover missing but three-hole punch pages still intact as well as alphabet tabs, dating from the 1940s due to content and telephone numbers (e.g., HO 7337), all entries are typed, numerous penciled cross-outs throughout (possibly in Welles' own hand or that of his secretary); a compelling insight into the man's professional and personal life including telephone numbers and addresses of (in alphabetical order): Lionel Barrymore, Richard Barthelmess, Anne Baxter, Ingrid Bergman, Pandro Berman, Dr. Maurice Bernstein, Dolores Del Rio, Marlene Dietrich, Joan Fontaine, Glenn Ford, John Anson Ford, Kay Francis, Paulette Goddard, Cedric Hardwicke, Henry Hathaway, Howard Hawks, Helen Hayes, Leland Hayward, Rita Hayworth, Ben Hecht, Bob Hope, Hedda Hopper, Lena Horne, John Houseman, Howard Hughes, Evelyn Keyes, Gregory Peck, Dick Powell, Eleanor Powell, Tyrone Power, Jean Renoir, David Selznick, Norma Shearer, Ann Sheridan, Toots Shor, Phil Silvers, Frank Sinatra, Sid Skolsky, Walter Slezak, Walter Wanger, Jack Warner, May Whitty, and Thornton Wilder, among many others; numerous places are also listed such as (in alphabetical order): the Ambassador Hotel, the Beverly Hills Hotel, the Brown Derby, Bullock's, Chasen's, Chateau Marmont, Florentine Gardens, Garden of Allah, the Hollywood Bowl, the Hollywood Plaza Hotel, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, the Hollywood Victory Committee (dating the address book to the 1940s), the Knickerbocker Hotel, Lucey's, I.
