    A Set of Early Correspondence Related to "Gone With The Wind," 1936-1937. The first an SIP, Inc. 'Inter-Office Communication' memo, light blue half sheet, to David O. Selznick from Katherine "Kay" Brown [Hollywood talent scout and agent who brought "GWTW" to David O. Selznick's attention], dated "October 13, 1936," reading in part "I received this...from / Margaret Mitchell... / the Wilbur Kurtz engravings look marvelous... / we ought to arrange for George and Mr. Howard to see him;" the second a note, one page, on SIP, Inc. letterhead, dated "October 1, 1937," addressed to "Harold Freedman," reading in part "I hope we aren't' all old and / gray before this thing is finished," signed in blue pencil in the lower right corner "Kay." (Please note the letter is somewhat ragged due to age.)
