Description

A Margaret Mitchell-Related Group of Paper Items, 1930s-1940s. Three pieces including: 1) one page [Page 397] of the original galley of Margaret Mitchell's novel, "Gone With The Wind;" accompanied by a letter of provenance from well-known "GWTW" historian, Anne Edwards, noting that this one page "comes from one of two galleys / that were sent to MM by her publisher before bound galleys were made for review;" 2) a business card of Eugene M. Mitchell [Margaret's father], a respected attorney in Atlanta; and 3) a thank you card sent by MM's family to well-wishers after her untimely death, included with its original transmittal envelope postmarked in part "Sep 19 1949." (Please note all pieces are yellowed and have minor paper loss due to age.)
