A Joey Bishop Large Archive of Signed Contracts and Scripts, 1940s-1960s. Including: 1) approximately 20 contracts with added cover letters from the William Morris Agency in New York, mostly dating from the 1940s, all outlining the comedian's agreements to perform in now long-gone night clubs on the east coast like The Latin Casino, El Morocco, The Tic Toc Club, Club 21, The Rajah Theatre, The Carmen, The Syria Mosque, The Kitty Davis Airliner, The Olympia Theatre, The Casablanca, The Chanticleer, The Ritz Theatre, Club 18, The Moose Club, and The Hippodrome, among countless others, all signed in blue or black fountain pen ink "Joseph A. Gottlieb" [Bishop's given name]; 2) approximately nine scripts (plus numerous loose pages of scripts) from "The Joey Bishop Show" (which ran on NBC then CBS from 1961 to 1965) and from other projects Bishop was working on; overall, a detailed collection illustrating how busy and in demand Bishop was for decades.
