    Description

A Joan Shawlee Personally-Owned Script from "Some Like It Hot." United Artists, 1959. With light blue covers, screenplay by Billy Wilder and I.A.L. Diamond, dated "7/18/58," 122 pages, ownership signature penned in blue ballpoint ink on second page reads "Joan Shawlee," with light annotations in pencil or blue ballpoint ink throughout in Shawlee's hand, mostly next to the character "Sue" ["Sweet Sue" whom she played in the film]; an early 'read-through' draft ending with the "Bellhop" having the last line of "Here I am, doll!" though a typed notation below reads "Last part to follow;" this script possibly having the "essence" of Marilyn on it as it would have been in her presence! (Please note the front and back covers are faded, heavily stained with coffee mug rings, and there is a 3 1/2" tear on the right middle margin.)
    11" x 9"

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
