    A James Cagney Group of 'File Copy' Scripts, 1950s. Four total including: 1) "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye," Warner Bros., 1950, cover and first page both with penciled ownership signature reading "Mr. James Cagney," original typed document on vellum, no authorship noted, various pages dated in January and February 1950, 155 pages; this was Cagney's own file copy script for his role of "Ralph Carter;" 2) "Come Fill The Cup," Warner Bros., 1951, tan covers, screenplay by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, dated "April 5, 1951," marked "Estimating Script," perforated receipt portion on first page removed, 125 pages; this was also Cagney's own file copy script for his role of "Lew Marsh;" 3) "A Lion is in the Streets," Warner Bros., 1953, beige covers (now torn from the brads), screenplay by Luther Davis, dated "11/26/52," 140 pages, numerous colored script change pages throughout; also Cagney's own file copy script for his role of "Hank Martin;" also included are extra script pages in an envelope addressed to Cagney (with a fun handwritten annotation in the left corner reading "Please deliver to / Mr. Cagney on the / set or in his / dressing room") plus a few call sheets and 4) "Never Steal Anything Small," Universal International Pictures, 1959, red covers, screenplay by Charles Lederer, dated "October 2, 1957," marked "Final Screenplay," 150 pages; also Cagney's own file copy script for his role of "Jake MacIllaney;" after reading, Cagney then gave them all to his longtime secretary, Nora Helm, for her permanent files.
