A James Cagney 'File Copy' Script from "White Heat." Warner Bros., 1949. Yellow covers, screenplay by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, dated "May 4, 1949," marked "Part I" (though Part II is also included and starts on page 96) and "Rev. Final," perforated receipt portion on first page still intact, 130 pages; interestingly the last page notes Cagney's exit line as "Anyway, Ma, I made it...Top of the world" when on film he slightly adjusts it to "Made it, Ma! Top of the world!" -- now one of the most famous lines in film history [American Film Institute ranks it at #18 on their '100 Greatest Movie Quotes of All Time' list]; this was Cagney's own file copy script for his role of "Cody Jarrett" which he gave to his longtime secretary, Nora Helm, for her permanent files. (Please note the covers are somewhat tattered with paper loss due to age; all interior pages are fine.)
