Description

    A Dick Powell and Joan Blondell Archive of Paper Materials, 1930s-1970s. One banker's box, filled with numerous paper items that the duo saved at various times in their lives including: three scrapbooks filled with newspaper and magazine clippings and images, letters sent to Blondell by friends, associates, and fans, scripts handwritten and/or typed by Blondell (including a spec script for the television show "The Waltons"), a couple of magazines such as one from 1936 featuring Powell on the cover, two one-sheet posters (both in very poor condition) from 1937 films starring Powell or Blondell ["The Singing Marine" and "Back in Circulation"], film reviews clipped from newspapers, and a few other like items; from the Estate of Joan Blondell; included with a Certificate of Provenance signed by her son.
