A Collection of Documents Related to "The Godfather." Paramount, 1972. From the Estate of Charles Hannah, the man who provided a number of 1940s-era cars to "The Godfather" production during the 1971 filming including: 1) a call sheet dated "May 19, 1971"; 2) seven photocopied receipts all noting "Alfran Productions / Paramount Pictures / The Godfather" showing what cars were rented and for how much per day (e.g., a "1932 La Salle," a "1941 Ford Sedan," etc.) plus one original receipt for the "1941 Lincoln Cont. 2 dr. Coupe" [the car used in the scene when "Sonny" gets killed]; 3) three yellow carbon copy receipts from Paramount (called a 'Location Talent Voucher') all dated 1971 showing the pay for a driver of one of the vintage cars; 4) twelve mint green carbon copy receipts all dated 1971 showing pay for the various "Non-SAG" drivers of the vintage cars; 5) two paycheck stubs from Paramount (plus a transmittal envelope); 6) a car registration form for a 1941 black Lincoln; 7) a black and white photograph of "Sonny's" bullet-ridden car on display; and 8) three color Polaroids taken on the set of the film, including one with actor Al Martino who played "Johnny Fontane," the Frank Sinatra-based character who causes the death of a poor, innocent horse; also included are a few other pieces of Hannah's car-related paperwork from the same era -- overall, an interesting collection showing us some behind-the-scenes workings of this most famous film.Various Sizes
