A Bette Davis Group of ID/Charge Cards, Circa 1980s. Four total, all with the star's name (though one is spelled "Betty"), from the Magic Castle (a special "Life Member" gold-metal card), the Automobile Club of Southern California, Pan Am, and MCI; included with a signed 'letter of provenance' from Kathryn Sermak, Davis' longtime personal assistant.
    2" x 3 1/4"

    Kathryn Sermak relays this story:
"Credit Cards - Pam Am which no longer exist was one of the great airlines we traveled on. Miss D always loved the big seats and the upstairs cocktail lounge that first class was privy to.

Magic Castle - Miss D adored going there with friends. She loved trying to figure out the tricks. My first time going was with Miss D and Robert Osborne. We had so much fun and Miss D sang a song with the mystery piano. The people loved it and that's when they made her on life time member of their exclusive club.

The MCI card was for international calling and she always traveled with it. She felt independent and it wouldn't be put on a bill for all to see."
