    Description

"Writing Credits of Edward D. Wood, Jr. 1971-1972-1973" [Ed Wood, Jr.]. An amazing listing of Wood's prodigious writing output for motion pictures, television, and stage, as well as his many novels, short stories, picture stories, and articles -- the curriculum vitae of the Hollywood screen legend that, two years after his death in 1978, was named the "Worst Director of All Time". The writing credits are on 34 pages, 25 of which have two double-spaced columns of short stories, articles, and picture stories. Aside from Wood's better-known works, Glen or Glenda and Plan 9 From Outer Space, literally hundreds of lesser and previously unknown stories are listed. The pages, 8.5" x 11", are for the most part typed carbon copies. All pages have three holes punched along the left side. A biography of Wood, Nightmare of Ecstasy, described his work habits working on a dozen projects at once, simultaneously watching television, eating, drinking, and carrying on conversations while typing. Wood advised new writers to "Just keep on writing. Even if your story gets worse, you'll get better." Though the lot displays mild yellowing, minor corner wear, and a tiny quarter-inch nick to the cover page, the document is in overall Very Good condition.
