    Vintage Valentino Dress Suits Owned and Worn by Edie Adams, circa 1960. These two suits are beautiful! Classic Valentino owned and worn by the fashion trend setter Edie Adams. The first outfit is a suit, comprising shift, straight knee-length skirt and outer coat, each of heavy weight gold wool twill with horizontal ribbing lined in satin. The form-fitting dress with scoop neck, top-stitched horizontal seam below neck, belt at rear fastened with button, hidden zipper within seam left of center back. The matching form-fitted fully lined coat with hidden buttons and belt which is exposed at front seam and secured with snap. The second comprised of a shift and outer coat, the dress is in a light weight tan crepe de chine, over a heavy tan satin lined in pink with a weighted hem and separate zippers at center back for dress and lining. The eye grabbing outer coat, woven in plaited ribbons of tan and gold lamé, fastened with heavy snaps below decorative gold bead and rhinestone buttons, lined in tan taffeta with rear waist band. Both elegant suits in Very Fine condition with some minor pulls left of gather to the dress and staining at the waist of the lining of the gold over coat.
