The first one made of four thin strips of brown leather, glued together onto black piping, appearing to be the one worn around the crown of Wayne's cowboy hat as he portrayed "John Elder" in the 1965 Paramount release, "The Sons of Katie Elder;" the second made of sterling silver with decorative engravings and a buckle on the side, inside hallmark reads "Bohlinmade / Calif. / Hollywood / Sterling" [Edward H. Bohlin, the celebrated saddlemaker and silversmith to the stars].
