Tonya Harding 1992 Winter Olympics Ice Figure Skating Costume. Original white and gold figure skating costume worn by Tonya Harding during the 1992 Winter Olympic Games, with form-fitting bodysuit, long sleeves and short skating skirt, with sparkling gold sequin embellishment. Harding placed fourth in the women's ice-skating category in the Albertville, France Olympic Winter Games. Notably, she was the first woman to successfully perform triple Axels in competition, combined with a double-toe loop. However, in 1994, Harding's skating career was marred by controversy when it was revealed that her ex-husband had attacked rival skater Nancy Kerrigan, striking her knee with a wrench. This incident, which cast a shadow over Harding's significant achievements in the sport, ultimately leading to her being stripped of her skating title. Costume exhibits wear.
