Description

The Running Man (TriStar, 1987), Yaphet Kotto "Laughlin" Adidas "Running Man" Jumpsuit. Original red and gray collarless long-sleeved spandex running jumpsuit with yellow side piping, worn by Yaphet Kotto as Laughlin, the freedom fighter ally of Ben Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who helps him break out of prison and later infiltrates the game zone control room. Suit features double-layered sleeves with smooth under-sleeves and faux quilted, gusseted over-sleeves, integral stirrups, silkscreened red Adidas logos on the right sleeve and left hip, "Laughlin" printed on the chest, Running Man on the left leg and back zip closure. Laughlin is mortally wounded by the Stalker Dynamo (Erland Van Lidth) during the resistance assault. Includes 2-wardrobe tags: 1- typewritten "Yaphet Kotto / 'The Running Man' / Tri-Star / 1987" and 1- handwritten "Yaphet Kotto / as / Laughlin / Sc 196-218." Exhibits age, production wear, loose/crumbling foam, loose stitching around left sleeve and handling. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
