Description
RoboCop (Orion, 1987), Peter Weller "RoboCop" Stunt Suit. Original (9) piece armored stunt suit constructed of cast fiberglass painted in silver with blue accents. Including (1) helmet with a thin horizontal plastic lensed-port for visibility, (1) front chest plate, (1) back plate, (1) pair of shoulder armor pieces, (1) black undersuit constructed of fabric, and cast and cut black foam, (1) pair of upper-thigh armor pieces, (1) pair of calf armor pieces, (1) pair of Adidas PRO-300 black shoes encased by armored outer boot, and (1) right-handed leather glove with Velcro attached material sleeve. Armor panels on arms, legs and feet are hinged to allow free movement at the elbow, knee, and ankle joints. Chest and back panels attach with Velcro across the shoulders, while remaining armored pieces feature metal loops attached to nylon straps. This stunt suit was in scenes where more mobility was needed. Displays production age, wear, scuffing and chipping to the finish of armored sections, with considerable deterioration to the foam components. Obtained from Orion Pictures.
