Power Rangers Zeo (Saban Entertainment, 1996), Red Ranger Action Costume. Original (6) piece action costume including (1) red resin and fiberglass helmet with star-shaped acrylic visor and latch closures, (1) red spandex jumpsuit with back-zip closure, unfinished hems on the pants and sleeves, and a white, brown, and gold embroidered bib on the chest and upper back (with "Hero, Akihiro, Reunion Suit" bias label), (1) pair of white leather gauntlets with gold-toned cuffs (with "Akihiro" bias labels), (1) pair of white leather gloves, (1) plastic Morpher tool on black leather wristband with functioning button that releases the center component, and (1) metallic gold woven belt with buckle closure, 2-holster attachments, and resin buckle (with "Akihiro" bias label). Helmet measures 10" x 9" x 8". Components exhibit production wear, age, and may include studio repairs with additional soiling. The fabric on the belt is disintegrating and sticky. The Power Rangers series used suits, footage, and props from the Japanese Super Sentai show and combined them with its own unique storytelling techniques. Due to the nature of filming, suits worn by the principal cast of their respective Power Rangers seasons will be notated with their names in the title of the lot. For suits worn by the stunt team, we have omitted their names in the titles and indicated them as Hero or Action. There is a mix of stunt performer and main cast names in each costume lot.
