Power Rangers Dino Thunder (BVS Entertainment, 2004), Black Ranger Super Dino Mode Hero Costume and Accessories. Original (7) piece hero costume including (1) black resin and fiberglass helmet with acrylic visor and pin closures, (1) black spandex bodysuit with gold trim and gold foam scales protruding from the arms and legs (with "Makoto" bias label), (1) pair of triangular gold foam pauldrons, (1) gold vinyl belt with buckle and holster attachment (with "Takahiro" bias label), (1) pair of black leather gloves with gold foam attachments and gold foam cuffs (with "Takahiro" bias labels), (1) pair of black leather boots with gold foam cuffs and scales protruding from the back, and (1) foam Brachio Staff weapon. Helmet measures 12" x 13" x 8". Staff measures 33" x 4" x 3". Components exhibit production wear, age, and may include studio repairs including damage to foam components. Helmet is missing original pins and exhibits production wear with scratches/chips. The weapon exhibits heavy wear, discoloration and scuffs. Soles have been separated from the boots due to production stressing, age and heavy deterioration of rubber so as to protect the integrity of the spandex components. The Power Rangers series used suits, footage, and props from the Japanese Super Sentai show and combined them with its own unique storytelling techniques. Due to the nature of filming, suits worn by the principal cast of their respective Power Rangers seasons will be notated with their names in the title of the lot. For suits worn by the stunt team, we have omitted their names in the titles and indicated them as Hero or Action. There is a mix of stunt performer and main cast names in each costume lot.
