Description

Paul Reubens "Pee-wee Herman" Signature 2-pc Slim Fit Glen Plaid Suit from Big Top Pee-wee (Paramount, 1988). "Pee-wee Herman" signature, size-too-small Glen plaid two-piece suit featuring a jacket with notched lapels, flap hip pockets, two-button front closure, and is fully lined in silver satin worn by Paul Reubens in Big Top Pee-wee. Both the jacket and matching pants have internal Cotroneo Costume typed labels "Pee Wee Doble". Accompanied by a clip-on red bow tie (a vintage replacement) and size 60 white briefs, which were a running gag when he stretched "giant underpants" over his suit, such as the Season 2 episode, "Pee-wee Catches a Cold". The suit retains its Christie's Paramount studio costume sale tag from 1990. Both pieces are in Very Fine condition. Acquired from Paramount Pictures.
