Patton (20th Century Fox, 1970), George C. Scott "General George Patton" Screen Used Military Uniform with Helmet. Vintage original (4) piece ensemble including (1) custom-made olive wool military long-sleeved button-down shirt with 2-chest flap pockets, silver-toned ranking star pins on lapels, color ribbon bars above left pocket, and Machin brand maker's bias label printed with "Tailored Especially for George Scott", (1) tan Machin brand necktie, (1) pair of dark brown-olive wool twill trousers with Western Costume Co. stamp and bias label printed with, "No. 2858-12. Name, George C. Scott", and (1) studio-made helmet with a shell specially constructed of cast fiberglass for light-weight wear, painted to appear as a standard-issue heavy steel military helmet, silver-toned 3-Star ranking at the front, and "Geo Scott" written on an inside strap in ink. Worn by General George Patton (George C. Scott) on the battlefield in Germany. The film won Best Picture at the 1971 Academy Awards, and George C. Scott also won for the Best Actor in a Leading Role. Also includes a woven belt and brown leather boots that are period-accurate and used for display purposes, but are not from the film. Ensemble exhibits production wear and age with some minor snags on the fabric of the pants, and some moth holes on the back of the shirt. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
