    Description

    Nolan Miller Designed Masquerade Mask in Red Sequins with Beads in Black, Blue and Purple. Ca. 1985; Sequins, beads, jersey, elastic; Label: Nolan Miller; 8" wide, 4 1/2" high.

    The mask has a woven red ground with red yarn with red sequins. The eyes are underlined with black flowerette beads and the upper edge of the eye in blue faceted rounds and black faceted drops. There are large faceted purple rounds further outlining the eyes and accenting the corners, the middle of the forehead and nose. The back is lined with velveteen. When worn, an elastic at eye level holds the mask in place. Fine condition with some missing beads. From the Nolan Miller Collection.
