    Nolan Miller Designed Masquerade Mask in Blue, Red, Yellow, Purple and Green. Ca. 1985; Beads, metallic jersey, velveteen, elastic; Label: Nolan Miller; 7" wide, 4 1/2" high.

    The mask has a metallic knit ground with silver sequins, overlaid with a geometric placement of beads. The body of the mask is covered evenly with blue faceted beads. The top is edged with strands of yellow rocaille beads, anchored with large red rounds and centered with a faceted yellow drop and faceted amber round. Extending down the center is a large, faceted, green, square jewel and a faceted red drop. The back of the mask is covered in black velveteen. When worn, the mask is held in place with an elastic sewn in at eye level on either side. Fine condition with some missing beads. From the Nolan Miller Collection.
