The movement of the skirt is enhanced with a slit at center front. There is a contrasting fabric at the hem and at zipper back. The bodice and skirt are lined in a deep green satin. The bodice has a center back zipper closure finished with a hook & eye, a weight at the center front neckline, and a ribbon belt tied into the waist that is closed by a set of hooks & eyes.

The floor-length overcoat is in a related deep green and gold lame. It has straight front panels, open at the center, the edge bound in a tape using the reverse side of the fabric. The back is a single panel with an inverted pleat at the center neckline. Deep tapered sleeves extend from the padded shoulder. The wrist is gathered in three tucks at the inside edge creating a draped effect. Accompanying the coat is a turban built on a felt form, wrapped with the deep green and gold lame used for the overcoat.

This ensemble was designed by Nolan Miller for Diahann Carroll as "Dominique" on Dynasty, played by her from 1984-1987. The gown, coat and turban are in Excellent condition. From the Nolan Miller Collection.
