    Nolan Miller Designed 1870s Period Wool Hat in Periwinkle for Elizabeth Taylor Worn for her Part as Alice in Poker Alice. 1987; Wool, velvet, netting, feathers, sinamay; Label: Nolan Miller; Hat size: No Size.

    Wool periwinkle hat with up-scooped form rests on low cap. The concave crown is adorned with a bouquette of feathers finished with a black velvet ribbon set on black netting. The netting loops across the front and cascades in back. Below the netting, the back edge is finished with a black velvet bow lined in black satin.

    Elizabeth Taylor wore this hat in her starring role as "Alice Moffat" in Poker Alice which premiered in 1987 as a made-for-TV movie. Excellent condition. From the Nolan Miller Collection.
