Nolan Miller Design for Dynasty, Worn by Joan Collins in her Role as Alexis. Ca.1985. Silk Jersey, bugle and rocaille beads, sequins; Label: Nolan Miller; Dress Size: 6/8.This floor-length dressing gown has a wrapped front, the right side crossing over forming a "V" neck, closed at the waist with two velcro strips. The skirt is open to the floor, with hand beaded edge in hot pink rocaille beads, large faceted pink rounds, and silver and pink sequins, outlined with a stringing of silver bugle beads. From the padded shoulder is a straight sleeve flaring at the elbow, beaded as the skirt front. The bodice back is shaped with two darts, and the gown is fully lined in hot pink jersey. A 2" beaded belt accompanies the dressing gown.
Nolan designed this dressing gown for the Dynasty Reunion. This dressing gown was to be filmed in a segment in Seattle, but heavy rain resulted in a costume switch, so the gown was not seen in the TV special. However, Joan wore it personally. The dressing gown is in Fine condition with an ink mark at the waist (covered by the belt) and at the right shoulder. There is a pull in the jersey at left back and right front above the waist and a missing beading on the left arm. From the Nolan Miller Collection.
