    Description

Nolan Miller, Black and White Strapless Gown, Long White Gloves and Black Silk Evening Cape Designed for Linda Evans for her Role as Krystle in Dynasty. Ca. 1985. Gown: voided silk chiffon, charmeuse; Cape: silk ribbed satin, silk satin; Label: Nolan Miller Couture; Dress size: 8.

The floor-length strapless gown has a fitted and boned bodice in cream silk satin, with a sheer cream voided satin chiffon overlay. The shear fabric is draped on the bodice, crossing the front where it is secured at the waist and then cascades down the skirt front. The straight black chameuse skirt, lined in black satin, is slit left of center back to knee. Accompanying the gown are long 24" white gloves.

The floor-length cape in horizontally placed black-ribbed silk opens on center. The front side seams are slit for arm openings, the seam continuing from front to back. The cape is lined in white silk satin, and has padded shoulders.

Designed by Nolan Miller for Dynasty, this gown was worn by Linda Evans at the Carrington Black and White Ball which first aired December 1986. She was stunning, but clearly overshadowed when Alexis arrived in red aiming to steal the show. The cape is in Excellent condition and the gown and gloves are in Fine condition with some stains on the bodice overlay. There are a couple loose stitches at the top of the slit and some soiling to gloves (perhaps lipstick). From the Nolan Miller Collection.
