Marlon Brando Screen-Worn Wig from Teahouse of the August Moon. Two-time Oscar-winner Marlon Brando, considered by many to be one of the greatest movie stars of all time, wore this black wig alongside Glenn Ford in the 1956 satire Teahouse of the August Moon. Hand-tied and made from human hair, the wig was part of Brando's daily two-hour make-up routine and includes the original MGM cardboard wig box and stock record card. The beige box has an affixed label reading: "1228, Black Chinese - 3/4 Wig M. Brando" on the front. The wig stock record card reads "Stock No. 1228, Original Player: Marlon Brando, Description: Black Chinese ¾ Wig". The box has 1" tear as well as a few other smaller surface tears along the edges of the cover. The label has a minor water stain and some surface wear. The wig has been restyled for photography. Overall, the wig ensemble is in Very Good condition. From The MGM Wig Archive.
