    Description

Lana Turner's Costume Dress from Green Dolphin Street. This sumptuous purple velvet gown was worn by Turner in Victor Saville's 1947 historical drama. The movie, set during the 1840s, featured Turner opposite Van Heflin and Donna Reed in a complicated love triangle, and was produced during the height of Turner's era as a popular femme fatale. The dress is in Very Fine condition with numerous tiny areas of wear, and has a costume label reading "Lana Turner - 1394" sewn onto the elastic waistband and "Green Dolphin St." handwritten on the lining of the corset.
