Description
John Wayne The Cowboys Screen Worn Long-Sleeve Shirt (Warner Bros, 1972). A shirt made of charcoal gray cotton with long sleeves, two breast pockets, and tuck-in tab on placket. The Western Costume Co. label reads: "No. 2500-7 / John Wayne #2 / Chest 49 / Sleeve 36 / Collar 18 1/2." Further W.C.C. stamp on inside shirt tail. Worn as Wayne portrays Wil Andersen in the film that co-stars Roscoe Lee Browne, Bruce Dern, Slim Pickens, and Colleen Dewhurst. In Very Good Plus condition with some light wear and loose threading in the bottom portion.Originally sold by Heritage Auctions in 2012 (and again in 2016), this comes with an LOA from Ethan Wayne, president of John Wayne Enterprises, which is matted and framed with the original Heritage print catalog lot description and three color photos of Wayne in the film. Lot also comes with the original COA from Heritage Auctions, as well as the print catalog, along with 24 film negative stills.
