John Wayne's Pinstripe Jacket from Dakota (1945). John Wayne looked mighty impressive in Dakota, Republic Studio's super western, released Christmas Day, 1945. The Duke romanced leading lady Vera Hruba Ralston, battled villain Ward Bond -- and sported this black pinstripe jacket, perfect for his role of Wild West gambler/adventurer John Devlin. Western Costume Co. label lists Wayne's name and code number 29768 C-46; lot comes with an 8" x 10" black and white still of Wayne wearing the jacket, his gun in hand and flanked by Ms. Ralston. Excellent condition.
