Description

John Gilbert Period Pants from an Unknown Film (circa 1920s-'30s). Fancy britches made of black velvet with gold-colored piping and decorative beads at the knees. The United Costumers, Inc. label sewn inside reads: "John Gilbert / W31 / L 12 1/2"; white stamp on inside waistband reads "U.C.I. 86", and the drycleaning tag reads: "UC 5186-5". The pants were apparently re-tailored later for a larger actor's use.
