Description
Jim Carrey "Riddler" Rhinestone Jumpsuit and Glitter Creepers from Batman Forever (Warner Bros., 1995). Original signature character costume constructed of white spandex, 1-piece bodysuit, with short standing collar, hand-embellished with multi-color rhinestones, iridescent gold decals, emerald green question marks and zipper closures running from left and right neck to shoulders, allowing the actor to slip into the 1-piece costume. With integral feet and thumb loops at wrists. Worn by "The Riddler" (Carrey) when he sits upon his throne and confronts Batman (Val Kilmer) with the choice of saving either Robin (Chris O'Donnell) or Dr. Chase (Nicole Kidman). The adhesive glue used to attach the rhinestones, symbols, and ornaments came loose due to Carrey's animated movement. As a result, rhinestone continuity constantly shifted while filming and a special team would put each costume on a mannequin to re-apply rhinestones between takes. Also includes a matching pair of size 10 Underground brand Creepers with leather straps and metal belt buckles, glittered by production in green and silver. Includes the original production tags including the following information, "Show: Batman 3; Char: Riddler; Actor: Jim Carrey, CG#: 7; SC#: 494-509". All in production used Fine condition. Accompanied by a LOA signed by Costume Supervisor James W. Tyson. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.Auction Info
