    Jeanette MacDonald "Sarah Millick" Period Dress from Bitter Sweet (MGM, 1940). Vintage original French blue silk dress with crème Peter Pan lace collar embellished with beige velvet ties and crème mesh ruff cascading down the tapered false bib, leg-of-mutton sleeves embroidered with flourishes and featuring zippered closure, integral wide selfbelt, voluminous skirts with crème chiffon underskirt, internal stays lining bodice, with hook and eye back and snap back closure. Retaining internal costumers bias label handwritten, "1887 - J. MacDonald Bittersweet." Collar, ruff and bodice altered post production. Exhibiting production wear and age
    with some spots of fabric separation. In vintage Good to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
