Group of Eight Costume Sketches, Wardrobe Continuity Bible and Script for the "Atomic Shakespeare" Episode of Moonlighting (ABC TV, 1985-1989). A group of eight vintage original costume sketches accomplished in pencil on 15" x 18" artist illustration paper by Robert Turturice. The sketches feature costume designs for background cast members in their elaborate Elizabethan garments from this memorable season three episode, which retold Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. The sketches have swatches of fabric attached in the margins with staples, and all but one have color continuity photographs of attached with each actor in their costume. Each sketch is signed by the artist at lower right in pencil. Mr. Turturice won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Costume Design for a Series for this episode. In fine vintage condition overall. Accompanied by a wardrobe department continuity bible for this episode containing extensive handwritten detailed descriptions of each piece of costume, Xerox copies of costume sketches, and other information. Many of the pages have continuity Polaroids attached with tape including: 16 Polaroids for Cybill Shepherd's character "Kate", 10 for Bruce Willis "Petruchio", and an additional 23 Polaroids for other characters. Bound together with First Draft script for the episode dated October 21, 1986 with blue, pink, yellow, green, and salmon colored revision pages. The script contains a number of fully annotated pages in ink throughout. The bible/script exhibits wear from production use, small edge tears, but remains in Good to Very Good condition overall.
