Original full (13) piece armor set worn by Ser Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane, (Conan Stevens), including (1) pair black leather boots featuring interior full-length lacing and a solid block heel, (1) laced green moleskin padded tunic (1) black leather armored tabard with riveted metal paneling and chainmail sleeves, (1) pair of polyurethane pauldrons, (1) flat top helmet with a grill visor, (1) pair of polyurethane elbow cops/couters, (1) pair of black leather vambraces, (1) pair of polyurethane gauntlets with black inner gauntlet gloves, (1) pair of black leather greaves. Plus (1) leather-wrapped wooden scabbard with leather belt and frog, (1) aluminum hero sword measuring 42" x 8.5" with brass pommel, crossguard, and leather-wrapped hilt, (1) aluminum dagger measuring 21" x 3.5", (1) leather-wrapped wooden dagger sheath. All polyurethane components have been expertly detailed and studio-crafted to appear as weathered and battered metals with a pewter-like coating. This distinctive and fearsome armor appears in Ser Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane's first on-screen appearance during the tournament that King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) throws for his new Hand, Ned Stark (Sean Bean). Within moments of his appearance, The Mountain kills a rival knight - foreshadowing the destructive force he will become in the series. Costume Designer Michele Clapton, explained that Gregor's armor design was meant to reflect his brutal and intimidating presence. She stated, "We wanted his armor to be functional yet terrifying, showing his dominance and strength." All pieces display general production age and wear with oxidation to the metal components.
