    Glenn Ford's Marine Corps Uniform with Medals and Citations. In 1942, Ford interrupted his film career to volunteer for duty in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He was assigned in to active duty at the Marine Corps Base in San Diego and sent to Marine Corps Schools Detachment (Photographic Section) in Quantico, Virginia three months later, with orders as a motion-picture production technician, and to the to the radio section of the Public Relations Office in 1944 before being honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant on December 7, 1944. This was one of Ford's Marine Corps service uniforms, complete with service decorations, and is accompanied by Ford's recruit training certificate, World War II 50th anniversary commemorative Stars Who Served award, and b&w 8" x 10" photo of Ford in uniform alongside wife Eleanor Powell. All items are in Excellent condition. From the Glenn Ford Estate. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from Peter Ford.
