Funny Lady (Columbia, 1975), Barbara Streisand "Fanny Brice" Dress Ensemble. Vintage original (2) piece dress ensemble including (1) dress constructed of an ivory sheer organza bodice over nude integral modesty panels and black single-pleated chiffon skirt with back zipper closure, sporting a ruffle collar, buttons on the back of the bodice, and bell sleeves with 3-wrist buttons on each, and (1) matching ivory sheen organza scarf. Worn by Fanny Brice (Barbara Streisand) in the sequel to Funny Girl (Columbia, 1968) as her tragi-comic story continues with dreams of new success and a stormy relationship with fellow songwriter Billy Rose (James Caan). This costume appears in a variety of scenes near the end of the film, notably at the train station as Rose pleads for Fanny to stay after she discovers his infidelity. Items exhibit expected age with production wear and handling, evidenced by a half inch tear on the scarf, loose threads along the back of the dress, and liquid stains on the right bell sleeve. Original white floral adornment on costume is detached and not present in lot. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
