Edie Adams' Stage-Worn Costume. This show-stopping costume of ribbons and rhinestones was worn by Edie Adams for her series of Las Vegas night club acts. Accompanied by an ostrich feather fan, the dress is designed with a black chiffon blouse embellished with facetted square beads and secured at the back with a hook and zipper. The skirt and sleeves of free flowing black ribbon, three deep, are fringed at the ends. The dress can be seen in Adams' autobiography Sing A Pretty Song, and is in Very Good condition with fading to the ribbons where they meet the chiffon in front and a closed zipper that is not in working condition. Water damage has faded the waistline; otherwise, the piece -- one of Edie's faves -- is fantastic. Accompanied by a hardcover copy of Sing a Pretty Song.
