Edie Adams' Don Loper Gown From Muriel Cigar Promotions. A truly sultry ensemble, the navy blue gown and coat were designed by Don Loper in 1957 for Edie Adams, the long standing spokeswoman for Muriel Cigars. The fitted gown, flaring at the knee and lined in taffeta, is in navy blue corded lace embellished with iridescent blue and gray sequins. En suite with this gown is the full-length coat featuring a black satin lapel that extends to the floor, and a pair of dark blue velvet gloves. The lot also includes Adams' own 55" tall, full-color advertising placard showing Edie in this luscious gown presenting "Muriel Cigars..... A size and shape for every smoker." The ensemble is in Fine condition with minor damage and repair to the lace at either side of the waist of the dress, and the placard is in Good condition, but in need of restoration.
