Cher Blue Sequined Flower Applique Ensemble by Bob Mackie from The Sonny and Cher Show (CBS TV, 1976-1977). Cher blue jersey skirt and nude sheer diagonal fabric top with flower applique encrusted with light blue metallic sequins. This gorgeous ensemble was designed by Bob Mackie and worn by Cher during her opening song "Swearin' to God" on the 1977 season two episode of The Sonny and Cher Show. Accompanied by a costume tag with handwritten pencil notation that reads: "Attention Trudy, Applique for Cher 'tummy'" and a couple extra sequin flower appliques to be adhered to Cher's midriff. The sheer nude halter top has hook-and-eye closures at the left shoulder and left armpit and skirt with rear zipper closure at the waist. The ensemble remains in very fine vintage condition with vivid color. Acquired from Cher.
