Boy George's Personal Rhinestone Hat (2015). Original black felt wide-brim fedora covered in rhinestone mesh. The back brim of the hat is upturned, featuring a teardrop style crown. Affixed to each side of the fedora are small rhinestone-covered horns. The interior is lined in indigo satin and features a "Philip Treacy London" bias label. "Boy" George O'Dowd, the lead singer of the English pop band Culture Club and a fashion icon, is renowned for his vibrant and flamboyant accessories. On an episode of Graham Norton's talk show in 2000, he told the host that he likes hats because they "hide a multitude of sins." The star gifted the hat to Planet Hollywood from his personal collection. Displays minimal wear and a few of the threads covering the brim have faded due to previous display. Obtained from Boy George. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
