DescriptionBlaze Starr Stage-Worn Necklace with Signed Photo and Letter. Framed display containing performance-worn necklace alongside a signed 7" x 9.5" color photo of Starr with necklace and LOA; 16.5" x 35" and in overall Very Fine condition.
A framed display containing the burlesque entertainer's performance-worn necklace alongside a signed 7" x 9.5" color photo of Starr with the necklace, and a heart-shaped handwritten note attesting to the fact that she wore the jewelry in her performances from the early '70s to 1984. The display also provides the cover art for Starr's autobiography, Blaze Starr -- My Life as Told to Huey Perry, in which she wore the rhinestone and faux ruby necklace. Starr, known for her vivacious exotic performances, eventually earned the nickname "The Hottest Blaze in Burlesque"... as well as an obscenity charge in Philadelphia! The framed piece measures 16.5" x 35" and is in overall Very Fine condition with minor nicks to wooden frame and four small nail holes along top side of frame (not visible from front).
