Description
Beneath the Planet of the Apes (TCF, 1970), Maurice Evans "Dr. Zaius" Costume. Vintage original (3) piece Dr. Zaius (Maurice Evans) orangutan costume including (1) collarless auburn wool jacket with ¾-sleeves and zipper front closure lined in aubergine satin, (1) pair of matching cantaloupe orange wool zipper front pants with side adjusting self-buckle belts and (1) pair of fabric, calf-high character boots in the shape of orangutan feet and with leather soles. Jacket and pants retain the internal Western Costume bias labels with jacket label typed, "Maurice Evans." Boots are handwritten in interior, "Evans 7". Exhibiting age and wear with fading to pants.
