Batman (TCF TV, 1966-1968), Cesar Romero "Joker" Signature Costume Ensemble. Vintage original (3) piece signature costume ensemble worn by Joker (Cesar Romero), the iconic and instantly recognizable supervillain in the original Batman television series, consisting of (1) fuchsia-colored tailcoat with peak lapels and 6- flat black static buttons and open front retaining internal Berman's Costume Company maker's label handwritten, "CR1", (1) shawl-cut fuchsia-colored vest with a 4-button front closure and peach-colored satin back and internal lining, retaining internal Berman's Costume Company maker's label handwritten, "CR1", (1) pair of fuchsia-colored pleated trousers with applied black soutache stripes of varying width, with zipper and hook-and-eye closure and retaining internal Berman's Costume Company maker's label handwritten, "CR1". Items exhibiting expected production wear including toning to tailcoat and vest and 1- 10" seam split down back of vest, potentially from production to allow ease of movement for Romero. Lot is accompanied by a green-dyed vintage wing collar tuxedo shirt with pleated front and French cuffs, a black cloth Western bow tie, a pair of fuchsia-colored polyblend gloves, a pair of green polyblend socks, and a pair of black dress shoes for display purposes. This is the finest Cesar Romero signature Joker costume we have ever handled. Originally from the collection of the Western Costume Company; sold via private treaty in 2010. Stewart took great pride in displaying his collection and had many custom-built mannequins in the likeness of the character made for his costumes. This lot includes one of those mannequins, which is in used and well-loved condition and will require special shipping. The option is yours if you would like to receive the mannequin.
