Items exhibiting signs of production wear including soiling and stains, toning from exposure, and expected production wear including some paint loss to the top hat. Lot is accompanied by a pair of black leather tuxedo shoes, a plastic faux cigarette holder and prop cigarette constructed of paper and colored foil, and a faux monocle for display purposes. Excessively rare, this is the finest and most complete Burgess Meredith signature Penguin costume we have ever encountered. Provenance: All except hat and gloves originally from the Debbie Reynolds Costume Collection, acquired directly from 20th Century Fox in the early 1970s; sold via private treaty in 2011. Stewart took great pride in displaying his collection and had many custom-built mannequins in the likeness of the character made for his costumes. This lot includes one of those mannequins, which is in used and well-loved condition and will require special shipping. The option is yours if you would like to receive the mannequin. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From The Stewart Berkowitz Television Treasures Collection.
